Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect when you enquire, book or visit, why we hold it, and the rights you have over it under UK data protection law. Last updated 24 June 2026.

This privacy policy is given by Debbie Clifford Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, trading as Bo & Co Bridal, whose boutique is at 3 Cuckfield House, Wellington Road, Wanstead, London E11 2AN (referred to in this policy as “we”, “us” and “our”).

It is addressed to you, the individual whose personal data we hold (referred to in this policy as “you”). It sets out how we collect, use, share and protect your personal data, and the rights available to you. Please read it alongside our Terms and Conditions.

1.Definitions and interpretation

1.1

In this policy, the following words have the following meanings:

we”, “us” and “our” mean Debbie Clifford Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, trading as Bo & Co Bridal, whose boutique is at 3 Cuckfield House, Wellington Road, Wanstead, London E11 2AN;

you” and “your” mean the individual whose personal data we collect and hold under this policy;
(c)
personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable living individual, as defined in the Data Protection Legislation;
(d)
processing” means any operation performed on personal data, including collecting, recording, storing, using, sharing and erasing it;
(e)
controller” and “processor” have the meanings given to them in the Data Protection Legislation;
(f)
Data Protection Legislation” means the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and any other law that applies from time to time to the processing of personal data in the United Kingdom.

In this policy, headings are for convenience only and do not affect its interpretation. The singular includes the plural and the plural includes the singular. A reference to legislation includes that legislation as amended or re-enacted from time to time.

The words “including”, “include” and “such as” are taken to be followed by the words “without limitation”, and do not limit the words that precede them.

2.Who we are and how to contact us

The controller of your personal data is Debbie Clifford Ltd, trading as Bo & Co Bridal. This means we decide how and why your personal data is processed.

You can contact us about your personal data, or about this policy, in either of the following ways:

We have not appointed a data protection officer, as we are not required to do so. Any member of the boutique can help you, or pass your request to the right person.

3.The personal data we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect and hold the following categories of personal data:

your telephone number;

your postal address, where you provide it to us;
(e)
the details of your enquiry or booking, which may include your wedding date, dress size, budget, the styles you are drawn to and the guests who will join you;
(f)
the dresses you save to your fitting room or wishlist on the website, so that they are ready for you when you arrive;
(g)
any message you choose to leave in our guest book, which we publish only with your consent.
3.2

We collect this personal data directly from you, whether in person, by telephone, by email, or through the forms and features on our website.

3.3

You do not have to provide the personal data we ask for. If you choose not to, we may be unable to arrange your appointment, answer your enquiry or complete a purchase.

4.How and why we use your personal data

4.1

We use your personal data only for clear purposes, and only where we have a lawful basis to do so under the Data Protection Legislation.

4.2

We use your personal data to arrange and run your appointment, to answer your enquiry and to look after any purchase you make. Our lawful basis for this is the performance of a contract with you, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

4.3

We use your personal data to run the boutique well, to keep brief records of those we have spoken to, and to maintain and improve how the website works. Our lawful basis for this is our legitimate interests in operating and developing our business, weighed against your interests, rights and freedoms.

4.4

Where you have asked us to, we use your personal data to send you occasional news. Our lawful basis for this is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time as set out in clause 8.

4.5

We publish a guest-book entry only where you have given us your consent to do so, and you may withdraw that consent at any time.

5.How we look after your data

5.1

We use your personal data only to run the boutique and to look after you. We do not sell it, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

5.2

Where we need a trusted supplier to help us run the boutique or the website, they may handle your data on our instructions and only for that purpose. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

6.International transfers

6.1

Some of our providers may process your personal data outside the United Kingdom.

6.2

Where this happens, we take steps to ensure that an appropriate level of protection applies to your personal data, by relying on adequacy regulations made under the Data Protection Legislation, on standard data protection clauses, or on another lawful safeguard. You may ask us for more detail using the contact details in clause 2.

7.How long we keep your personal data

7.1

We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes set out in this policy.

7.2

We keep enquiry data for approximately 24 months, unless you go on to become a client, after which it is securely deleted.

7.3

We keep client and purchase records for as long as we need them to fulfil your order and to meet any legal or accounting duty that applies to us. Once that period has ended, the records are securely deleted.

8.Your rights

8.1

Under the Data Protection Legislation, you have the right to:

request access to the personal data we hold about you;
(b)
request the correction of any personal data that is inaccurate;
(c)
request the erasure of your personal data, where that applies;
(d)
request that we restrict the processing of your personal data;
(e)
request that we port your personal data to you or to another provider;
(f)
object to our processing of your personal data, including for direct marketing; and
(g)
withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent to process your personal data.

Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing we carried out before you withdrew it.

To exercise any of these rights, please email us at hello@boandcobridal.co.uk, or write to us at the postal address in clause 2. We will respond within the time required by the Data Protection Legislation, and we will not charge a fee unless your request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.

9.If you have a concern

9.1

If you are ever unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us and we will do our best to put it right.

10.Cookies

10.1

Our website uses a small number of essential cookies that are needed for it to work, including remembering the dresses you save to your fitting room.

10.2

The embedded map and the booking widget may set their own cookies when you use them.

10.3

You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings, although some parts of the site may then not work as intended.

11.Changes to this policy

11.1

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we work or in the law.

11.2

Where we make a material change, we will update the “last updated” date shown on this page. We encourage you to review this policy when you visit the website. This policy was last updated on 24 June 2026.
